10 Years, 15+ Failed Startups, 2 Missing Steps.
One you can guess: ๐๐๐ฅ๐ข๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง. ๐๐ฎ๐ญ ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐ฌ๐๐๐จ๐ง๐? Before starting this new journey, I spent hours reflectingโฆ Thinking. Writing. Staring at my whiteboard.

Looking back at a decade of failures, I saw the same pattern repeating: 1๏ธโฃ Validation Most of my startups/experiments began either:- -Friend gossip ideas โ โBro, it's a million dollar idea, let's make this app, itโll blow up.โ or -Pure imagination โ building what felt good in my head, without market reality checks. -Trend chasing โ jumping blindly into crypto hype, AI wave, or D2C boom. And every time, I skipped the most important step: proof that people actually cared. -I built in isolation. -Launched with hope. -And shut it down quietly. Thatโs why I created Crown Gate Filter, to make validation unavoidable. But solving validation wasnโt enoughโฆ 2๏ธโฃ Process vs Outcome (Flaws in how I executed, even if the idea had potential) -Inspired by some guruโs course โ chasing โget rich quickโ promises. -Copying another successful startup โ clone mindset, zero personal conviction. -Over-obsessed with traction/funding โ every day refreshing numbers instead of enjoying the work. -Outcome > process โ โIf this works, Iโll make X croresโ mindset. I was so obsessed with outcomes, revenue, traction, โsuccessโ - that I stopped enjoying the process. And when you donโt enjoy the process, you donโt even realize what youโre building. Nothing meaningful is built in a day, so when traction doesnโt come for months, you get frustrated, start doubting yourself, and once that doubt creeps in, your subconscious begins working against you. But hereโs the tricky part: Iโll share why โjust enjoy the processโ is another trap, and how Iโm solving it in future post. ๐ก Reflection After 15+ failures, Iโve realised: -Working on a startup idea without validation = building castles in the air. -Focusing only on outcomes and not enjoying the process = frustration, self-doubt, and eventually your subconscious working against you. Iโve solved the first problem with Crown Gate Filter. The second one? I spent hours talking to ChatGPT, testing myself with brutal prompts to find out if I was truly obsessed with the process, or just chasing glamour/outcomes.

Most startups die the moment the founder says, 'Let's start coding.'
We love the dopamine rush of starting a new project. But 'Good idea, letโs build it' is a trap. After burying multiple startups that had perfect code but zero users, I realized that building without validation is just expensive therapy. Stop guessing. Start filtering.
